Field notes and sketchbooks of Edward H. Davis's ethnological research on the Seri Indians of southern California. Field notes contain accounts of expeditions, experiences and stories recorded by Davis during his collecting trips. Sketchbooks include Davis's drawings of artifacts and the terrain, with annotations providing detailed descriptions. Also, a seven page manuscript "The Vanished Tribes of Lower California," 1926.
